Power of Imagination

This universe has an abundant collection of soothing aromas and scenes which can calm down your frenzied moods.

Let us observe a few :-)
  • Jasmine

  • Early morning dew drops

  • New born leaves

  • Odor in an old book

  • Earthy smells just before the rain

  • Petals of a dried flower

  • Lushy green meadows

  • Rain

  • Blooming flowers

  • Growing paddy field

Okay, now here’s a small activity for you. This will hardly take any time but trust me, the results are amazing. Here we go..

1. Pick your favorite from the above list or anything of your choice
2. Set your stop-watch to 2 min
3. Close your eyes
4. Take 5 deep breaths
5. Turn on your imagination which should be able to see and smell
6. Start visualizing the associated good things
7. Enjoy the fragrance and the visuals!

You make sure to concentrate completely and come out of your imaginary world only when it is time up! So how did it feel?? I felt refreshing!!

You have no idea, at how right a time I opened this post of yours. :)

Today's been a particularly boring day and I like this idea :) Was fantastic to feel the freshness of the rain, right at my cube.. Hats off to the power of imagination!!!!!

Videhi -- I just wanted to swing by your blog to say thank you. Your comment on my blog, Today I Pray, meant so much to me. Truly.
I'm still trying to build up the courage to take the next step with my writing -- to try to get published. Every note of encouragement helps me to feel slightly more confident. Hopefully someday soon, when someone asks what I do, I will say -- I'm a writer.

You have quite a lovely way with words yourself. I felt like I was there with you in your post "Konaseema." then very ironically, when I opened my office window this morning, I was met with the fragrance of "after the rain." Very earthy...VERY soothing. Your post made me pause and really appreciate it....
don't be surprised if you see a post about it very shortly.

Thanks again. and have a wonderful day. (Sorry for the extensive comment).
