Secret Santa

In an attempt to boost the team spirit, I initiated this simple rapport building game called, “Secret Santa”.

You take a raffle of the names of the team members and pick up a name. Whosever name, you pick up will be your buddy and you become the Santa for that person.

Santa is iconic for someone who makes us feel special. Hence, as a Santa you are supposed to make your buddy really happy. This can go on for days and we’ve put a cap for a week.

My Santa prepared a creative Message Frame and inspired me with words! Take a look at it.

Below are the words:

A Sparkling note of Mirth
Cascades from Heaven to Earth
O weary heart be Gay
This is your day…..Today!

The game unwinds you very much. All you need to take out is 10 minutes of your time and send a message expressing something good about your buddy. Such exercises instill positivity in us towards the other person.

A bunch of young militants strode into the financial hub of our nation and scarred it deep. Okay! It was not as easy as you read the 1st statement. It costed a 3 day nerve-wracking and lives swallowing ordeal for the Army to kill them and take control of the situation. And, it is going to take much longer for the Mumbaikers to heal the wound and set back to normalcy.

I am so proud of the Army men for staking their lives to save ours! One of the commandants when questioned if the operation was tough, his response was, “Desh seva mein, Humey kuch mushkil nahin”(Nothing is tough for us while serving our country).

On the same land with such an Indian with true patriotic spirit to rescue us, we have a flip side too. Let us take a look at this dimension.

This devastating incident has been claimed as the Indian 9-11 destruction and the top politicians condemned it thoroughly. Would that help? An absolute “NO-NO”.

Had our politicians spent half of their 4 M’s (Man, Machine, Material and Money) in reinforcing stringent and advanced security measures and equipping our Police personnel with superior ammunition instead of “Lathis”, we would not have witnessed the disaster.

Corruption has become a part and parcel of our lives without any Choice! What about the ROI for these extra payments besides our tax? A full sized Zero! Leave alone our amenities in our society; we are fighting to get a decent life security. When countries inferior to us are able to protect their citizens through their world class security measures, why not we!

I don’t back any political party, all I am concerned is the Government System which is diluted time and again in exercising its duties. How many more lives does this System claim to bring a change in its operations?

Don’t we deserve a safer Indian life!
