Blogging…a fantasy come true…a long lasting wish which I could accommodate in one of my leisure hours at my workplace ….oopss..this is better known as a self improvement time..!!
I love my job..profession..career…lifeline…I like writing..never knew when this instinct to write has germinated…my education may possibly be one of the reasons behind…the weekly exams, the never ending reading and learning saga, the brain storming sessions for the projects…must have laid the foundation.
Many commented, many discouraged, many degraded…the only entity that were in my complete support of all my decisions is my family(Amma& Gopal-My Brother)
Well…Bi.p.c to BCA to HR never stopped me pursue my interest…my Dad gave me the liberty to study what ever I wanted…I not only enjoyed the education, while also experienced their flavors in my varied jobs…starting the first one at the age of 18…finally chose my destination to be writing that suits my persona.
I can co-relate how my 3 tier edu came handy in my ever chosen job…Writing.
My role involves reading, interviewing, analyzing and documenting. Now lets see the co-relation I was talking about….Bi.p.c taught me to read extensively, BCA introduced me to technology while HR triggered my levels of interaction.
I have been in this field since 2 years for now. Starting with SEO Writing, Website content writing, marketing materials, brochures, editing…you name it and I learn it.
The only idea I always had…research…learn… Google is my God Father ..lolz..Nothing in this world is impossible on Google.. Life is made so easy with these search engines.
More about my jobs…Switching from an e-learning firm to a financial client to a s/w product development firm…it has been a strange and versatile journey…planning to enjoy this technological aura for a while…may be 2 years from now…! There has been a cultural transition…but my Aquarian instinct to adopt and welcome change helped me survive and fit in any kind of setup.
My current organization is a medium sized firm with a head count of 250…with high attrition rate and equal intake balancing the ratio..:D. Soon after I’ve joined the firm, my senior has left the firm and I began owning a component. it has been tough to get acquainted with terminology and technology…but thanks to my PM…he is v supportive and understanding of my learning needs. He would patiently answer any of my silly or serious questions with an unfading smile…a must learn factor!
The team is other wise known as a gang of serious (Workaholic) guys…with just 2 females(including me). Both of us are mostly lost in our world of thoughts…husband, boy friend, marriage, home, Mom, shopping, movies, humor, forwards, bitching…heheh!
We have drawn a line to all the guys since they are always engrossed in work…defects, PY, enhancement, revision, DT, meetings, scrum, sprint….this makes the dictionary of my team…..to be contd…
